Newtown Presbyterian Church

2010 Confirmation Class

The church nurtures baptized children and invites them to make public their personal profession of faith and their acceptance of responsibility in the life of the church. When ready, they shall be examined by the session, received as active members and shall be presented to the congregation during a service of public worship. In that service the church shall confirm them in their baptismal identity as they reaffirm their Baptismal vows by
  • professing their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior,
  • renouncing evil and affirming their reliance on God’s grace,
  • declaring their intention to participate actively and responsibly in the worship and mission of the church.

This Confirmation Class will also serve as the membership class for those students who have not been baptized and will be baptized on Sunday June 13, 2010.

Confirmation Class is available to all those in 8th grade and older.

4 classes will be held on Sundays from 12:00pm Noon - 2:00pm

One overnighter plus a challenge course/high ropes course.

Friday May 14, 2010 @ Newtown Church beginning w/Dinner

Saturday May 15, 2010 9am @ Camp Men-O-Lan in Quakertown, PA.

Return Approx. 5pm. (We will need drivers out to Quakertown and back)

 

Examination by Session

Tuesday June 1st 7:00pm in Ettenger hall - Present "Statement of Faith" to Session
